Lola Lavender Activity #5

Mum! Can we make some bath bombs?

My children have been asking to make bath bombs for a while so I got all the ingredients. It is easy but messy! We didn’t have pretty moulds but the children loved the process and were thrilled with the outcome. They are now wanting more baths so that they can use their bath bombs!

Not only did I save ourselves a ton of money making our own, but I know exactly what ingredients are in them and there is nothing toxic going onto their bodies. I can’t believe what harmful ingredients companies are allowed to get away with put in their body products.

Here is the recipe:

1 cup baking soda

1/2 cup citric acid

1/4 cup Epsom salts

1/4 cup melted coconut oil

1 tsp vanilla extract

20 drops doTERRA Lavender essential oil

Dried lavender buds

1. Stir all dry ingredients together.

2. Add coconut oil, essential oil, vanilla and whisk together.

3. Spray a little water into the mixture until you can hold the mixture when squeezed.

4. If using lavender buds, place in the moulds first.

5. Press mixture into the moulds.

6. Sit for 2 days to dry completely.

7. Add bath bombs into a glass jar and keep in the bathroom.

8. Enjoy using one at a time in the bath tub!

They smell 👃 divine! You and your kids will love them!
