Danny Digestive Blend Activity #4

Mum! I feel sick!

Having a child sick in the car is such a challenging experience for everyone involved! I want to focus on some very practical things that we can do to help our children if they have a motion sickness problem.

Motion sickness is caused by repeated movements when travelling, like going over bumps in a car or moving up and down in a boat, plane or train. The inner ear sends different signals to your brain from those your eyes are seeing. These confusing messages cause you to feel unwell.

Motion sickness is feeling dizzy, or feeling or being sick when travelling by car, boat, plane or train. You can do things to prevent or relieve the symptoms.

Symptoms of motion sickness may include:

dizziness, feeling sick (nausea), being sick, headache, feeling cold and going pale, sweating

How to ease motion sickness

√ look straight ahead at a fixed point

√ breathe fresh air if possible - for example, by opening a car window

√ close your eyes and breathe slowly whilst focusing on your breathing

√ distract children by talking, listening to music or singing songs

√ break up long journeys to get some fresh air, drink water and take a walk

√ not use devices such as ipads or phones if this is one of the causes of motion sickness. in some cases they can help!

√ don't eat a heavy meal before travelling

√ use acupressure bands

√ ROLL DANNY DIGESTIVE BLEND ON THE CHILDREN'S WRISTS, RUB TOGETHER, UNDER THEIR EARS, AROUND THEIR TUMMY AND ON THE BOTTOMS OF THEIR FEET

ACTIVITY

FOR OUR 10 MINUTE ACTIVITY THIS WEEK: CREATE A SURVIVAL TRAVEL BAG AND INCLUDE THINGS YOU FEEL WILL HELP IN CASE SOMEONE IS SICK. ROLL PLAY USING DANNY DIGESTIVE BLEND TO HELP

It is vital to have some kind of tool kit ready in the car so that you are prepared in case someone is sick. Some suggestions would be; a Danny Digestive Blend roller bottle, a plastic tub with a lid for someone to be sick in, a bag to keep everything in, some wipes to clean up the sick, a bottle of water to swish around the mouth, a towel in case your child was sick in the car seat and needs to sit on something dry, a change of clothes.

SICKNESS BUG!

Ironically my children have had a sickness but this week! It is awful seeing your child being sick.

This is how I looked after them with natural solutions and how I felt empowered as the healer in the home during this time of sickness.

- regularly rolled Danny Digestive blend around the stomach (anti-clockwise) and on the bottoms of the feet every couple of hours

- rolled Poppy Peppermint up and down the spine every couple of hours for a high temperature - peppermint helps to regulate the body temperature

- used Peter Protective blend to wash the bedding and clothes, toilets, flush handles, taps, surfaces etc

- sprinkled bicarbonate of soda on the mattress and carpet to dry up the sick/diarrhea then sprayed and cleaned with Peter Protective Blend

- Poppy Peppermint was used regularly during the day to keep me awake when I'd been up during the night

- the children kept sipping water through a straw bottle - so important to keep them hydrated. They also loved natural juice ice pops to suck on

- found some good things to watch on the ipad and on the tv

- lots of hugs and reassurance that they'll feel better

It took nearly a week for them to bounce back and gain their full energy back. So grateful to have these powerful natural solutions at hand to help.
